Total Recall (2012)

Directed by Len Wiseman

Objective of the sequence plan:

During this sequence, Quaid is attacked by security guards, triggering an intense fight scene. Although this scene isn't a single-take shot in the strictest sense, it's often perceived as such due to its fluid choreography and skillful editing.

Behind the scenes:

  • Smooth editing : the scene is composed of several shots skillfully assembled to give the illusion of a single shot.

  • Precise choreography : the combat movements are carefully coordinated to maintain a constant dynamic.

  • Visual effects : special effects are used to mask cuts and enhance the impression of continuity.

Duration of the sequence shot:

almost a minute.
